2013 Mowogo Pow Wow - Day 3 Wrap Up

On Day 3, we had breakfast, religious service, and a nice side-trip to Tallulah Gorge.

2013 Mowogo Pow Wow - Day 2 Native Costumes

I always called the finery we wear "regalia."  I am now told that it is better (and somehow more respectful) to call it "native costumes."  Ok.  So be it.

Costumes were minimal this year because the team dance competition did not require it.  However, some elaborate costumes were still to be seen.

2013 Mowogo Pow Wow - Day 2 Dancing

On Day 2, we dodged the rain and danced and ate and danced and ate.

2013 Mowogo Pow Wow - Day 1

We just got back from the 2013 Mowogo Pow Wow at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton, Georgia.  Of course, it rained.  All day.  Non-stop.

Still, we had plenty of places to hide from the rain, and there was plenty of food and fun.  The spirit of brotherhood was strong.

Last Dance

Tonight was the last chapter meeting before Pow Wow.  Our dance team had one last chance to practice the Ribbon Dance.  Wish them luck.
